Biography
Bingnan Lu is a visiting assistant professor of Analytics & Operations at NUS Business School, National University of Singapore (NUS), and a research fellow at the Institute of Operations Research and Analytics (IORA). He received a Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Minnesota (UMN) in 2021, advised by Saif Benjaafar. His research mainly focuses on service operations and relies on the methodologies of stochastic modeling, applied probability, and queueing theory. He is interested in a broad range of applications, particularly focused on applications in healthcare and on-demand service platforms. Prior to UMN, he received a B.Eng. in Engineering Systems and Design from the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) in 2015, with a focus on Economics and Operations Research.
